Second Harvest a r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 un rapport indiquant qu'il y a plus de 61 000 organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif au Canada qui fournissent de la nourriture gratuite ou \u00e0 bas prix \u00e0 leurs communaut\u00e9s. Ce chiffre est stup\u00e9fiant et illustre clairement la profondeur et la gravit\u00e9 de l'ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire au Canada.<\/p>\n

Si les banques alimentaires et les organisations caritatives travaillent d'arrache-pied pour combler ce foss\u00e9, elles ne constituent pas une solution \u00e0 l'ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire ou \u00e0 la pauvret\u00e9. Ce n'est qu'en investissant dans un filet de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sociale solide, des possibilit\u00e9s d'emploi de qualit\u00e9 et un co\u00fbt de la vie abordable que nous pourrons faire reculer la pauvret\u00e9 et nous acheminer vers un avenir o\u00f9 personne ne souffrira de la faim.<\/p>\n

Nous continuons d'exhorter le gouvernement de l'Ontario \u00e0 prendre des mesures pour garantir \u00e0 tous les Ontariens des revenus suffisants et stables et des conditions de vie abordables.<\/p>\n
