During the summer, their door is open to any of her son&#8217;s friends, and the kids spend the day shooting hoops at the park. To make sure everyone has something to eat, Kim always puts out snacks.<\/p>\n<p>But Kim started to notice that maybe those snacks were more important for some of the kids, like Ben. We use industry-standard software to encrypt and process all your donation information. One-time donations made online will receive an automatic email with your e-receipt at the email address you provide. All monthly donations in a calendar year will be collated into one receipt and mailed to you in February of the following year. As a province-wide organization Feed Ontario can use economies of scale and bulk purchasing to secure lower rates on our food costs. We further supplement this through the strong partnerships we have developed with Ontario&#8217;s food and transportation sectors, which provide us with discounted, at-cost, and donated services and food.<\/p>\n<p>We calculate the cost of a meal by looking at operating costs and how much food is donated to Feed Ontario. Operating expenses include costs to collect, store, and transport food to our member food banks.<\/p>\n<p>We divide the total number of pounds of food donated by the cost of operating and delivering donations to food banks across the province.<\/p>\n<p>Our partners help to provide meals to more than 1 million people each year.
