September is Hunger Action Month
Proudly sponsored by:

Food insecurity has reached a record high in Ontario, with over 1 million people having to turn to a food bank to get by.
High housing costs and rental rates, low-quality jobs, and inadequate social support programs are driving this issue and are leaving many Ontarians faced with difficult choices every month.
Hunger Action Month is a national campaign that was started here in Ontario by Feed Ontario, and that is run in partnership with local food banks, to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity.
During the month of September, we encourage the public to take action to end hunger in their communities and across Ontario in four key ways:
Educate, Advocate, Volunteer, and Donate
Could you make it through the month?
No one should have to choose between keeping a roof over their head and putting food on the table, yet hundreds of thousands of people find themselves at this fork in the road each month.
Fork in The Road is a digital interactive tool designed to help show the devastating choices that people throughout Ontario are facing. The experience walks users through a month of common decisions those who need to turn to food banks navigate, like where to live or choosing which bills they can afford to pay. Could you make it through the month?
Join us to help build a strong, vibrant, and hunger-free Ontario
Right now, more people than ever are turning to food banks for help. When our neighbours can’t afford enough to eat, it doesn’t just affect their household – it weakens the fabric of our communities and our province.
A strong Ontario depends on strong communities – communities where everyone has what they need to live, contribute, and succeed.
Sign our petition to tell the provincial government: it’s time to take real action to reduce hunger and poverty. By adding your name, you’re joining Feed Ontario in calling for a future where no one goes hungry and every Ontarian has the opportunity to thrive.
