Join the Feed Ontario Board of Directors! We are looking for ONE amazing community member to join our board of directors beginning in June 2025.

Our board plays a vital role shaping the strategic direction of Ontario’s food bank network and a leadership role in addressing the issues of food security, income security, and other factors affecting our food banks and their visitors across Ontario.

You would be part of a dynamic team of food bank and community professionals who are working from a provincial perspective in support of Feed Ontario. Board terms are three years with a maximum of two consecutive terms or six years. Feed Ontario is an inclusive organization welcoming all interested candidates to submit an application. Please note this is a volunteer position.

Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2025.

Commitment:

  • The successful representative will be appointed to a 3-year term commencing in June 2025.
  • Board meetings are scheduled one year in advance with six meetings annually that take place on Thursdays.
  • Meetings take place both virtually and in person in the GTA (travel related expenses are reimbursed).
  • Meetings are scheduled for 4 hours and candidates should anticipate investing approximately 3 hours a month towards their role for the board.
  • This is a volunteer position.

Process:

  • Please complete the Skills Matrix Survey before Friday, January 31, 2025.
  • Please submit an Expression of Interest, including resume or CV to the Governance & Nomination Committee through Carolyn Stewart, CEO (carolyn@feedontario.ca) before end of day Friday, January 31, 2025.
  • The Governance & Nomination Committee will review the potential candidates and put forward its recommendations to the Board of Directors. It may also conduct interviews if appropriate. In accordance with the bylaws, the Board will then formally fill the openings with the successful candidates.
