How does hunger impact your community?

1. 1. Choose the information that applies to your riding in the drop-down menus above.
   2. Click "Calculate."
   3. Scroll to the bottom of the web-based report to the blue box that says "Take Action," and download a PDF version of your report.
      You can share the report with your MPP by sending it in an email (find your MPP's contact information) or posting it on social media and tagging your MPP and @FeedOntario.

Food Bank Use: This data was provided by the provincial food bank network via Link2Feed and processed by Fleming College GIS students. Hunger in My Riding utilizes food bank used data between January 2023 - December 2023.

Ontario Works and ODSP Beneficiaries: This data was provided by staff at the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services and drawn from statistics for June 2022.

Rent Prices: This data was pulled from the CMHC's Rental Market Survey Data for October 2023, one-bedroom apartments. Figures used for each income source assumed: Ontario Works - $733 (single person, no dependents), Ontario Disability Support Program - $1,368 (single person, no dependents), Full-Time Minimum Wage - $2,795 ($17.20 per hour at 37.5 hours/week, before taxes), Part-Time Minimum Wage - $1,490 ($17.20  per hour at 20 hours/week, before taxes).

% Riding Renters, Core Housing Need, Poverty Rate: This data was pulled from Statistics Canada's 2021 Census Profiles, by Federal Electoral District.

Social Housing Waitlists: This data was sourced from a combination of direct correspondence, municipal reports and news articles.
