Feed Ontario congratulates our Executive Director, Carolyn Stewart, who has been honoured as a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40® for 2021.

Carolyn and her peers were selected from hundreds of nominees by a respected and independent Advisory Board, comprising 30 diverse leaders from across Canada. Four key criteria were assessed to select the recipients: Vision & Innovation, Leadership, Impact & Influence, and Social Responsibility.

Carolyn’s leadership of Feed Ontario during the COVID-19 emergency response ensured that food banks across the province were equipped to meet a surge in demand for emergency food support, while facing challenges with supply chains, volunteer numbers, and operational adaptations to maintain health guidelines.

Despite these challenges, under Carolyn’s leadership, Feed Ontario was able to scale up programs distributing more than 6 times the annual average of food, investing millions of dollars into food bank programming and capacity, and continuing to advocate for our province’s most vulnerable.

Congratulations Carolyn!
