Your help is making the difference in our work to end hunger.

As food bank visits grew across Ontario, so did our response. Feed Ontario and our partners worked together to ensure food banks could meet the growing demand they’re facing. Together, we kept food bank shelves stocked with healthy food and made sure food banks had the resources to meet the unique needs of their communities, all while working to end hunger in the future.

When food bank visits went up, your support made the difference

This year, as the need for food banks has grown, we provided more food than ever before, built new partnerships across the province to expand our reach, and responded quickly when it mattered most.

More than 1 million people in Ontario turned to food banks for help in the last year, visiting more than 8 million times. This means that people facing hunger across the province need more support than before, accessing food bank services more often than in previous years just to get by.

We know that hunger is a problem that can’t be solved overnight, but with your help we’re making strides. The incredible dedication and generosity of donors and partners over the past year shows that communities come together in the face of growing need and can make a meaningful difference.

When food bank visits went up, we built solutions together

We’re uniquely positioned to facilitate partnerships and build stronger, more collaborative solutions to the challenges our members face. We’re driving progress by building partnerships through initiatives like our Farm to Food Program, increasing food access, expanding our network’s reach in the North, and working collaboratively to play an essential role in providing emergency food support when the unexpected happens.

When food bank visits went up, our partners responded

Our corporate and retail partners play an essential role in helping us deliver food and support where it’s needed most across Ontario. From building community kitchens to expanding food recovery, culinary training opportunities, and food recovery initiatives to employee volunteer and fundraising events, to providing food and essential equipment to food banks, our corporate partners are making an incredible difference.

When food bank visits went up, people made the difference

At a time when rising costs are being felt by everyone, our individual donors showed what generosity truly looks like by stepping up to support their neighbours when it mattered most. Our donors helped us provide people and families facing hunger with over 2 million meals and foundations exemplified their commitment through ongoing partnerships, driving lasting impact and strengthening Ontario’s communities.
