We feed possibility by providing food banks with resources to grow their capacity to distribute fresh food, to collaborate and develop best practices that drive change, and to invest in innovative programming for people facing hunger in their communities.
Rural Kids Program
The Rural Kids Program provides rural food banks (serving communities with a population of 50,000 or less) with funding to operate and grow child nutrition programs, such as a breakfast club or snack program.
The Capacity Building Program provides food banks with funding to increase their capacity to accept and distribute fresh food for adults and children in need.
The Feeding Fresh! Sysco Community Garden Program provides food banks across the province with funding for the creation, growth and development of their community gardens.
Supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and run in collaboration with the Feed Ontario’s member food bank in Windsor, the Unemployed Help Centre, Farm to Food is a new food transformation program.
